What was the challenge?
SkiStar owns and operates Scandinavia’s five largest ski resorts; Sälen, Åre and Vemdalen in Sweden, Trysil and Hemsedal in Norway as well as the family-run ski resort St. Johann in Austrian Tyrol and Hammarbybacken in the centre of Stockholm.
SkiStar’s guests require relevant and up-to-date information during their stay. To meet this need, SkiStar has chosen to digitalize their communication and have chosen Vertiseit as their full-service Digital Signage provider.
What we did
Via hundreds of screens in heated cabins, shops and the ski areas, SkiStar is now constantly reaching out with targeted information and offers to their guests.
The guests can easily catch up with the latest information about lifts, slopes and weather as well as upcoming activities and events.
A daily leader board lists the skiers that have skied the most vertical meters at the destination that particular day and this is displayed at the sloopes. The information comes directly from the My SkiStar app and is presented on large billboards.
All together, this strengthens customer loyalty and enhances the experience.
We can see a large demand from the guests to get the right information at the right time. By working digitally, we will be able to satisfy the needs even better in the future.
Our core business is alpine skiing with the guest’s skiing experience in the center. The range consists of Scandinavia’s five largest ski resorts, Sälen, Åre and Vemdalen in Sweden, as well as Trysil and Hemsedal in Norway, the family-run ski resort St. Johann in Eastern Tyrol and Hammarbybacken in the center of Stockholm.
